Hemoglobin Determination

The HemoCue Hemoglobin Determination systems provide an opportunity for quick, simple and reliable quantitative Hemoglobin results with the same performance as a large hematology analyzer. The dual wavelength photometers correct for lipemia, leucocytosis and other sources of turbidity. Any blood source (capillary, venous or arterial) can be used. The unbreakable, disposable cuvette collects the exact amount of blood and mixes the sample with the reagents automatically. The cuvette is placed into the portable analyzer. Results appear on the display screen in less than a minute.

WBC Analyzer

HemoCue WBC Analyzer is a unique POCT system for quantitative determination of white blood cell (WBC) count. Based on proven and reliable HemoCue microcuvette technology, lab quality results are obtained from a finger stick in minutes. The HemoCue WBC system requires 10 µL of whole blood. The sample is taken from a finger-stick or a venous EDTA sample. A hemolyzing agent lyses the red cells in the microcuvette, while a staining agent colors the white cells. Then an image is taken of the stained white cells and the number of WBC is counted by image analysis. Unlike conventional testing methods, the HemoCue WBC system provides accurate results in about 3 minutes.
